The Summertime Stroopwafel S'more
The summer is almost here, and if you are like many Americans that means you can't wait for cookouts, campfires, and of course S'mores... But alas, what if you live in a thriving metropolis? Midtown Manhattan perhaps? There are not as many opportunities for campfires as we would like.
That didn't stop us from making these delicious Smore's with a Dutch twist.
Honey Stroopwafel S'more
with Almond Toffee milk chocolate and a dusting of Chili powder and smoked sea salt.

Recipe:
Servings: 1 - Trust me, this is a decadent treat.
Ingredients:
2 stroopwafel cookies (Recipe here)
2 marshmallows
3-4 pieces of chocolate of your choice. (I used Chocolove's Toffee and Almond)
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon smoked sea salt flakes
Use a safe unfinished piece of wood to skewer the marshmallow and roast over an open flame until golden brown with hints of blackened sugars.

Place two Stroopwafels side by side, with 2 roasted marshmallows on top of one cookie. Place 3-4 blocks of your favorite chocolate, (I used ChocoLove's Toffee and almonds) on top of the roasted marshmallow. Place the second Stroopwafel on top and squeeze just enough to make the marshmallow stick. Dust with a generous portion of Chili powder and smoked sea salt flakes and enjoy!
A few notes:
If you are outdoors, you can melt the marshmallows over an open flame instead.

For a smaller s’more, use mini sized stroopwafels. Compensate for the size with a little less chocolate or marshmallow.
S’mores are usually made with graham crackers. It’s possible to swap the stroopwafel with another kind of cookie.
The marshmallow can be swapped out with ice cream as well.
